Your Sheriff's Department serves approximately 330,000 residents of St. Charles County.  We are directly responsible for the safety and security of residents residing in the unincorporated areas of the county and also provide specialized and other services to municipal police departments on request.  Our area of responsibility consists of 587 square miles with 600 miles of public roadways.  All administrative and operational services are directed from our headquarters at 101 Crossing Industrial Court in O'Fallon, Missouri.  Our court services personnel are located at the Courts Administration Building in St. Charles, communications personnel (dispatchers) are assigned to the Communications Center in Wentzville, and most of our training is conducted at our 12 acre training site near Defiance.

Your Sheriff's Department is the largest in the State of Missouri and the largest law enforcement agency in St. Charles County.  We are comprised of 150 commissioned and 60 civilian personnel with duties ranging from serving civil process to piloting our Metro Air Support helicopters.
