The St. Charles County Sheriff's Department is accepting applications for CARRY CONCEALED FIREARM LICENSE for St. Charles County residents only, Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Effective August 28, 2011 changes to Missouri State Statute 571 will change the age requirement and firearms training requirements for all carry concealed license applicants. Refer to RSMo 571.11 or the revised "Certificate of Firearms Safety Training Course" form for details

- U.S. citizen
- Assumed residency in this state
- You must be twenty-one (21) years of age.
- Provide a copy of the revised "Certificate of Firearms Safety Training Course" form, signed by the course instructor. Only the revised form provided by the Missouri Sheriff’s Association will be accepted. No other form will be accepted after August 28, 2011. The forms are available at the St. Charles County Sheriff’s Department.
- Provide your Missouri drivers license with name and current physical address. If your Missouri drivers license does not have your current physical address provide proof of residency, i.e. personal property tax receipt, voter registration card or utility bill. A driver license with a PO Box as an address will not be accepted.
- A Missouri non-driver identification card will not be accepted as proof of residency.
- A set of fingerprints will be taken
- Provide a non-refundable fee of $100.00 in the form of check or money order made payable to Saint Charles County, or exact change in cash.

| Carry Concealed License Renewal Instructions: |

- Contact the Sheriff’s Department no earlier than 30 days prior to expiration.
- Hours for the renewal process are between the hours of 8 a.m.and 4 p.m., Monday through Friday. (excluding holidays)
- License holder must provide his/her Missouri Driver or Missouri Non-Driver License with concealed carry endorsement.
- Providing your original concealed carry license is desirous.
- Provide a non-refundable fee of $50.00 in the form of check or money order made payable to Saint Charles County, or exact change in cash.
- A processing period of fifteen business days.
- A person who has been issued a certificate of qualification for a concealed carry endorsement who fails to file a renewal application on or before its expiration date must pay an additional late fee of ten dollars ($10.00) per month it is expired for up to six months.
- After the six months, the sheriff who issued the certificate shall notify the director of revenue that such certificate is expired.
